The 3rd XI won a tense semi final with a golden goal in extra time against Brighton. Lewes opened the scoring through Rob Minter after 25 minutes but were pegged back immediately when Brighton scored from close range. Just on half time Nick Cornish deflected in a cross to put Lewes 2-1 up at half time. Brighton dominated large parts of the second half as Lewes sat back but goalkeeper George Davis made some good saves from a number of penalty corners before finally being beaten from a short corner with ten minutes remaining. The match went to golden goal extra time and after three minutes it was Minter who drove the ball home to give Lewes victory and a place in the final against Chichester on Saturday 26th April.
