Last Saturday saw them pitched against Chichester, a team made up of boys mainly 13 and 14 years old. The tough battle saw Lewes digging deep for the second ever full length game and fitness was sorely tested in the second half. The boys dug in and fought for their first ever league point after holding Chichester to a 0-0 draw. They breached the opposition āDā on a number of occasions, won a penalty corner and had an open play shot on goal. The match was mostly in the midfield until the last 10 to 15 minutes when it was all hands to the deck to defend against the older, stronger and fitter opposition. Notable performances came from Oli Ingham, Alex Thornett, Jamie Combs and Oli Loader who all ran to exhaustion.
